Craig Rizzo is a designer with over 24 years of experience in the healthcare, higher education, and mixed-use sectors, primarily involved in conceptual and design development, technical coordination and documentation, and team management. Craig’s design philosophy is to seek elegance through simplicity. He approaches each project by first gaining a deep understanding of the client’s needs and goals, and then looking holistically at program, site, and context to bring forward innovative design solutions. A number of Craig’s projects—St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington; Iowa State University’s Biorenewables Complex in Ames, Iowa; and the Rebecca and John Moores UCSD Cancer Center at the University of California, San Diego—have been recognized with local and national design awards. Craig holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University and a Master of Fine Arts from Art Center College of Design.
