Haruka Saito

Haruka Saito believes perspective is everything. Originally from New York, she appreciates having more room for the built environment to grow in the Pacific Northwest. On a recent project, she used a drone to explore the views of Seattle from the site in every direction. The mountainous landscape became part of the frame, unlike in New York, where it’s difficult to see beyond neighboring buildings. Haruka’s passions for three-dimensional modeling and construction coordination of complex geometries inform her design process, and her interest in the pedestrian experience of cities encourages her to study how buildings can create a dialogue with ever-evolving urban tapestries.
