Jerome Unterreiner is a senior urban designer with more than 26 years of international practice helping communities, public agencies, and developers to visualize and create sustainable, beautiful, and lasting plans and guidelines for future development and transportation systems within urban settings. His experience encompasses a variety of scales, ranging from city and campus development plans to mixed-use housing and academic building projects. Jerome specializes in taking a vision and putting it onto paper in the form of concept drawings that reconcile various plans and initiatives and that serve as critical tools for communicating regional visions and the fine details of urban design. This work is a valuable tool for building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups and informing land-use and zoning changes and recommendations, developer agreements, and the identification of catalytic projects that support community visions and aspirations. His passion for the development of strong urban communities is evidenced in his public education efforts, his support of transit service developments, his continual push for communication and consensus building, and his advocacy of community-centered development.
