Krista Becker brings 30 years of experience in planning, design, and management of a wide range of civic, cultural, and educational buildings, many of which have involved developing complex project programs and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet stringent schedule and budget requirements. Over the years, Krista has had the privilege of working closely with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) to help advance the design of U.S. embassies worldwide. Applying her mastery of this unique and challenging building type, she has led the design teams for 14 new embassy commissions, creating safe, functional, and inspiring places for the conduct of diplomacy. As a recognized leader in embassy design, Krista has shared her expertise in over 50 presentations, lectures, and workshops globally, as well as through project related briefings in 13 countries, and in numerous publications. Krista is a 2015 AIACC Distinguished Practice Award recipient, and she has served on numerous national and regional design award juries. Krista is also a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Southern California, from where she earned a Bachelor of Architecture, and remains involved as a member of the USC Architectural Guild.
