Mark Foster

AIA

Mark Foster is a Design Partner whose experience reflects the diverse portfolio of the firm, ranging from transit systems and airports to mixed use buildings and academic facilities. He has played a lead design role on light rail projects in Portland, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, and San Diego. He has also maintained a 20-year relationship with the Port of Portland, working on concourses, offices and airline facilities, as well as retail and concessions at Portland International Airport. His ability to work effectively with academic constituencies has resulted in a 12-year relationship with Washington State University, beginning with a master plan for WSU's new 345-acre Vancouver campus and resulting in over 400,000 SF of new facilities. Mark has been instrumental in mentoring younger staff in the office, providing design leadership in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. He has also led the design of several new buildings on the campuses of George Fox University, Oregon State University and the University of Oregon, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture. He was also the recipient of a Steedman Fellowship and is a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome.
