Dan Simpson, a principal in the Seattle office, brings more than 37 years of design experience, including conceptual and design development, technical coordination and documentation, and design team management. He has worked on a number of complex projects for clients such as Providence Health & Services, The Everett Clinic, and Microsoft Corporation, and has demonstrated his sensitivity to the use and detailing of appropriate materials, building systems, and technologies to optimize design quality within established budgets. Dan has been honored with several design awards from the AIA and other organizations, recognizing his commitment to design quality. He is highly regarded by clients for his ability to listen and translate a wide range of design criteria, from complex programs and challenging sites to budget constraints, and to synthesize appropriate design strategies while achieving excellence. He has taught architectural design and served as a visiting critic at institutions in Washington, Virginia, and Massachusetts. Dan has a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Washington State University and a Master of Architecture from the Harvard University, Graduate School of Design.
