Sharron van der Meulen
Sharron van der Meulen has more than 33 years of interior design experience working with clients ranging from higher education and healthcare institutions to Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies. As a Principal in the Portland office, she works with the design team through user group interviews, visioning sessions, observation, and shadowing to gain a deep and common understanding of how spaces need to function and feel. Sharron also develops, alongside the design team, the program and the quality of the interior environment, such as the interior detailing and selection of colors, furnishings, materials, and finishes. She brings strong consensus-building skills to align a project’s vision and goals with the wants and needs of multiple user groups. Sharron has recently applied this expertise to projects for clients ranging from Gerding Edlen Development Company and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the University of California system. Sharron earned a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon.
