If the tenets of the Lean process and workplace strategy were integrated, what added value might be generated? Workplace strategy and Lean are different approaches to programming that share many concepts, but are often siloed in practice.
At NeoCon ZGF’s Harris Levitt, Barbara Anderson and Tim Deak proposed that collaborating across these two paradigms strongly advances user-centered design. In their presentation they explored how the Lean design process can minimize waste and enhance the experience of building occupants to improve productivity and satisfaction while reducing absenteeism. Using their collective experience and knowledge they also spoke to ways in which this concept can best be put into practice.
