The AIA Academy of Architecture for Health (AIA/AAH) bestowed the ZGF-designed Everett Clinic at Smokey Point with an AIA Healthcare Design Award. Each of the winning projects exhibited conceptual strengths that solved functional, social, and sustainable challenges to advance the field of healthcare.
The jury commended the project for its operationally efficient care delivery and the ability of the design team to deliver the project within a 24-month design and construction schedule. The 66,000 SF multi-specialty clinic was the first new building designed for the client in The Everett Clinic’s 88-year history. A cross-functional, Lean approach was used to program and design the space to minimize waste and improve patient-centered care.
