ZGF is excited to welcome David Weinberg, Will Robertson, and Jerry Waters (from left to right) to the New York office and the firm. Each brings an array of skills and experiences that will be invaluable as the New York office continues to grow. Jerry is keenly focused on uniting sustainability goals, budget, and schedule while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence. David’s business-led design approach allows for strategic design solutions that support and enhance client objectives and outcomes. Will leads collaborations among designers, engineers, builders, and stakeholders to discover innovative opportunities and solutions.

Jerry Waters AIA, LEED AP®
With over two decades of design leadership experience, Jerry Waters re-joins ZGF with an extensive portfolio that includes academic, healthcare, corporate, civic, hospitality, and aviation projects. Jerry has conducted research on the role of architecture in immersive, socially cohesive, and project-based learning environments. His academic environments are supporting a broad range of contemporary pedagogical approaches. Jerry’s clients have included Oregon State University, Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, and the Port of Portland, to name a few. Prior to rejoining ZGF in NYC, Jerry worked with DOWA-IBI Group Architects and Yost Grube Hall Architecture. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon.
David Weinberg AIA, NCARB
David Weinberg brings his experience in all areas of design, management, and delivery to the New York team. David offers his clients a strategy-first design approach. His expertise in visioning, strategy, and branding extends across a multitude of services, including master planning, architecture, and interior architecture. He is recognized as a strong mentor and advocate for professional growth and development among his team. David’s clients include The New York Times, BlackRock, Live Nation, CITI Group, Teach for America, and NYU Langone Hospital. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Rice University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University. Additionally, David coaches boys soccer in Westchester and serves on the Board of CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving in New York.
Will Robertson AIA
Will Robertson’s strength as a designer is rooted in his passion for combining a strong technical background and a creative mind to produce a timeless architecture. Will has led projects for a number of domestic and international commercial clients, including Brandywine Realty Trust, the Durst Organization, Beacon Properties, Tishman Speyer, Est4te Four, and Wexford Science + Technology. He is skilled at balancing aspiration with development goals, and the buildings which have resulted represent the intrinsic values of the people they serve. Prior to joining ZGF, Will was the Director of the New York Commercial Practice at NBBJ. Will holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont.
