Alan Gerencer

LEED AP®

Alan Gerencer is a designer with more than 27 years of experience on projects that encompass new construction, tenant improvements, and historic preservation. With a strong belief that design should move the human spirit, and drawing inspiration from colleagues and clients, he translates the intent of each client’s aspirations into the built environment while balancing aesthetic and technical requirements. He has focused on team leadership, sustainable design, and the use of innovative materials and high-performance technology in both design and construction. His greatest strength is his ability to coalesce multidisciplinary teams while keeping projects moving forward, on time, and on budget. Alan served as project architect for the Twelve | West Building, which achieved double LEED Platinum® certification for New Construction and Commercial Interiors, and was the project manager for a number of Nike workplace designs. Alan’s clients have also included Stoel Rives, Perkins Coie, Hanna Andersson, Google, Legacy Health, and the U.S. General Services Administration. Alan has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Detroit.
