Expanding Amazon's Footprint in Seattle
Touchstone Corporation, Tilt 49: Amazon LowFlyingHawk
Workplace
ZGF provided planning and design for a 307,296 SF, 11-story office building, part of a larger 728,712 SF mixed-use development that includes the AMLI Arc residential tower in Seattleās burgeoning Denny Triangle neighborhood. Working with both the client and Amazon, the tenant, the design team created a floorplate that easily adapts to evolving workplace trends and tenant requirements and provides a flexible office environment. Healthy building strategies include circadian lighting and extensive daylighting, open space amenities, above- and below-grade bike parking, locker rooms, and a communicating stairway in the lobby with environmental graphics to encourage movement throughout the building. Retail spaces, including three pop-up shops with flexible leasing options, occupy the ground level to activate and unify the pedestrian experience.
