As a Principal and Director of Planning and Urban Design, Nolan’s favorite tool of the trade is simple: community conversations. He is passionate about their ability to bring together public, private and institutional interests, facilitating positive exchanges and creating better urban environments. Over the past decade, Nolan has gained a depth of experience in transit-oriented development, master planning, and urban design, which includes riverfront development, mixed-use neighborhoods, and campus planning. Nolan is best known for helping clients navigate diverse perspectives and bring together large groups, supporting people to invest in community, and taking the risks necessary to make great cities.
