Jerome Unterreiner

For Jerome Unterreiner, urban design orchestrates the best of buildings, streets, open space and broader infrastructure. How all those elements are woven together create “a place we would rather be.”  Jerome has spent the last 30 years helping communities, public agencies and developers create vibrant, resilient and forward-looking experiences for new development and transportation networks as part of district and community planning. Oftentimes his work begins with sketches reflecting community and stakeholder aspirations in the form of concept drawings, communicating both big-picture design ideas and the fine details of urban planning. His passion for environmental and human health and wellness is evident in advocacy efforts for public education, resiliency planning and the continual push for knowledge sharing and consensus building.
